 About Mark Martin
Distinguished as one of the most focused and successful drivers in
NASCAR history, Mark Martin is a hero to his many racing fans. In
fact, he currently ranks 4th in the Nextel Cup's all-time standings.
Martin, the 2002 Coca-Cola 600 winner, is not new to the 'top five
group'. This accomplished veteran finished in the top five in the Cup
standings 10 times in the last 15 seasons, and for the 4th time in
2002, he finished runner-up for the Winston Cup championship (also
'98, '94, '90).
Martin began his stock car racing career at the age of 15 in Arkansas,
and is slated to start his 600th career Cup race in November 2004.
